Our Story

OUR STORY:  The Valley Kids Care Foundation started in October of 2014 months after Owner and head coach of Valley Gymnastics Danielle Cerminaro was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the young age of 34.  Danielle’s philosophy for her gymnasts has always been to not only be the best gymnast you can be, but to be the best person in life that you can be!  She has guided her gymnasts over the years to be involved in many fundraisers and to give back to those in need.  When participating in fundraisers Danielle would discuss with the gymnasts what the fundraiser was and who exactly it was helping.  When Danielle sat her gymnast down to tell them the very personal information about her own cancer diagnoses, the gymnasts first response was “how are we going to help you because you make sure that we help everyone else”.  At that moment Danielle knew her gymnasts had been listening to her when they participated in all those past fundraisers.  From there, not wanting it to be about her, Danielle turned this difficult time in her own life into a new learning experience for her gymnasts.  Danielle and her gymnasts decided to form the Valley Kids Care Foundation. The vision of the foundation is to help those with a chronic or life threatening illness focus on LIVING LIFE!  Funds raised will provide support for individuals in our community or connected to our “Valley Family” that have been diagnosed with a chronic or life threatening illness.  The goal is to relieve financial stress during a difficult time.
Currently, Danielle has completed her treatments and is doing very well!
